Privacy Policy

Mahakali Tantra Pith (“we”, “us”, “the Pith”) respects your privacy and handles your personal data with care, in the spirit of the Information Technology Act, 2000 & the SPDI Rules, 2011 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights and controls you have.

1. What data we collect

• Identity & contact: name, email, WhatsApp/phone number, country/city.
• Birth / horoscope details: date, time and place of birth (used for Jyotish/kundali, analysis, muhurat, gun-milan).
• Photos (optional): face or palm photographs, only if you choose to send them for a face-reading, palm-reading or specific spiritual analysis.
• Sankalp information: the name, gotra, concern or intention you provide for a puja, anushthan or diksha.
• Order & payment data: items purchased, invoice details and shipping address. Card/UPI/bank details are processed directly by our payment gateway (Razorpay) — we do not store your full card or bank credentials.
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, and usage via cookies/analytics (see our Cookie Policy).
• Community data: profile, posts and messages you share on sadhaklok.com.

3. Purpose & lawful basis (consent)

We process data to: (a) deliver the service you requested (analysis, consultation, diksha, puja, courses, ebooks, store orders); (b) process payments and issue GST invoices; (c) provide support and respond to your messages; (d) meet legal, tax and accounting obligations; and (e) improve our website. Our lawful basis is your consent and the performance of the service/contract you asked for. You may withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing already done).

4. Third parties we share with

We share the minimum data necessary with trusted service providers, under confidentiality:

• Razorpay — payment processing.
• WhatsApp / Meta — when you contact us or we send you guidance/updates you asked for.
• Cloudflare — website hosting, security and content delivery.
• Google Analytics / Meta Pixel — anonymous/aggregated usage analytics.
• Courier partners — only shipping name/address for physical store orders.

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data if required by law or valid legal process.

5. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the service and for legal/tax records (invoices are retained as required under GST/Income-Tax law, typically up to 8 years). Sensitive spiritual data (birth details, photos, Sankalp) is retained only for the duration of the service and a short reasonable period after, then deleted on request or as part of routine cleanup.

6. Your rights — access, correction, deletion, export

• Access & export: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate details.
• Deletion / erasure: ask us to delete your data (subject to legal record-keeping).
• Withdraw consent: at any time.
• Grievance: raise a complaint (see below and our Grievance Redressal page).

7. Security

We use HTTPS/TLS encryption, access controls and reputable processors (Razorpay, Cloudflare). No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a significant breach as required by law.

8. Children (18+)

Our services are intended for adults 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. A minor may only be involved (e.g. a child’s kundali) through a parent/guardian who provides consent.
