Earrings adorn your ears, a pearl upon your nose-tip;

You tore apart Shumbha and Nishumbha and slew Mahishasura;

You destroyed Chanda and Munda and vanquished Raktabija;
you slew both Madhu and Kaitabha, freeing the gods from fear. Om, victory to Mother Ambe Gauri.
You are Brahmani, Rudrani, and Queen Kamala;

The sixty-four yoginis sing auspicious songs and Bhairava dances;

Your four arms shine in beauty, holding the boon-granting mudra;

A golden platter shines with agar and camphor lamps;

अम्बे तू है जगदम्बे काली, जय दुर्गे खप्पर वाली।
तेरे ही गुण गाये भारती, ओ मैया हम सब उतरें तेरी आरती॥
तेरे भक्त जनो पर, भीर पडी है भारी माँ।
दानव दल पर टूट पडो, माँ करके सिंह सवारी।
सौ-सौ सिंहो से बलशाली, अष्ट भुजाओ वाली,
दुष्टो को पल में संहारती।
ओ मैया हम सब उतरें तेरी आरती॥
माँ बेटे का है इस जग मे, बडा ही निर्मल नाता।
पूत-कपूत सुने है पर न, माता सुनी कुमाता॥
सब पे करूणा दरसाने वाली, अमृत बरसाने वाली,
दुखियो के दुखडे निवारती।
ओ मैया हम सब उतरें तेरी आरती॥
नही मांगते धन और दौलत, न चांदी न सोना माँ।
हम तो मांगे माँ तेरे मन मे, इक छोटा सा कोना॥
सबकी बिगडी बनाने वाली, लाज बचाने वाली,
सतियो के सत को सवांरती।

चरण शरण मे खडे तुम्हारी, ले पूजा की थाली।
वरद हस्त सर पर रख दो, माँ सकंट हरने वाली।
माँ भर दो भक्ति रस प्याली, अष्ट भुजाओ वाली,
भक्तो के कारज तू ही सारती।

Daanav dal par toot pado, maa karke sinh sawaari.
Sau-sau sinho se balshaali, asht bhujaao waali,
dushto ko pal mein samhaarti.

Maa bete ka hai is jag mein, bada hi nirmal naata.
Poot-kapoot sune hai par na, maata suni kumaata॥
Sab pe karuna darsaane waali, amrit barsaane waali,

Nahi maangte dhan aur daulat, na chaandi na sona maa.

Charan sharan mein khade tumhaari, le pooja ki thaali.

A great calamity has befallen your devotees, O Mother.
Fall upon the army of demons, riding upon your lion.
Mightier than a hundred lions, O eight-armed one,
you destroy the wicked in a single instant.

In this world the bond of mother and child is the purest of all;
one may hear of an unworthy son, but never of an unworthy mother.
You who shower compassion upon all, who rain down nectar,
you remove the sorrows of the suffering.

We ask not for wealth or riches, neither silver nor gold, O Mother;
we ask only for a small corner within your heart.
You who mend everyone's misfortune, who guard our honour,
who uphold the virtue of the devoted.

🪔 आरती विधि: आरती के लिए शुद्ध घी या कपूर का दीप जलाएँ, दायीं ओर से घड़ी की दिशा में माँ की प्रतिमा/यंत्र के सामने आरती उतारें। आरती के बाद सबको आरती का प्रकाश हाथों में लेकर माथे से लगाएँ। शंख व घंटी के साथ भाव से गाएँ।
