🙏 हर श्लोक के अंत में जयकारा: "तत्प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम्" — उस सदाशिव लिंग को मैं बारंबार प्रणाम करता हूँ। नित्य पाठ से शिव कृपा, सञ्चित पापों का नाश व मन की शुद्धि।

शिवलोकमवाप्नोति शिवेन सह मोदते॥ ॥ इति श्रीलिङ्गाष्टकं सम्पूर्णम् ॥

Buddhi-vivardhana-kaarana-lingam.
Siddha-suraasura-vandita-lingam,

Daksha-suyajnya-vinaashana-lingam,

Refrain (v.1–8): "Tat-pranamaami Sadaashiva-lingam" — I bow again and again to that Sadashiva Linga. 1: I bow to the Sadashiva Linga worshipped by Brahma, Vishnu (Murari) and the gods; the Linga radiant with pure, spotless splendour; the Linga that destroys the sorrows born of birth. 2: Worshipped by the foremost gods and sages; the compassionate Linga that burnt Kama (desire) to ashes; the Linga that destroyed the pride of Ravana. 3: Anointed with all fragrances; the cause of the increase of wisdom; adored by the Siddhas, gods and asuras. 4: Adorned with gold and great gems; beautifully wrapped by the king of serpents (Sheshanaga); the Linga that destroyed Daksha's sacrifice. 5: Anointed with kumkum and sandal paste; beautified with a garland of lotuses; the Linga that destroys accumulated sins. 6: Worshipped and served by the hosts of gods, attainable through pure feelings and devotion alone; the Linga that shines like a million suns. 7: Enshrined upon the eight-petalled lotus; the cause of all creation; the Linga that removes the eight kinds of poverty. 8: Worshipped by the guru of the gods (Brihaspati) and the best of the gods; ever adored with flowers from the celestial groves; the Linga that is the Supreme beyond the supreme, the very Self (Paramatma). Phalashruti: Whoever recites this holy Lingashtakam in the presence of Shiva attains the abode of Shiva (Shivaloka) and rejoices there forever in union with Him.
