🙏 शिव तांडव स्तोत्र का पाठ शिव कृपा, अपार ऊर्जा व आत्मविश्वास प्रदान करता है — भय व नकारात्मकता का नाश करता है। सोमवार, प्रदोष व महाशिवरात्रि पर विशेष फलदायी। श्रद्धा व लय के साथ "शिवेति मन्त्रमुच्चरन्" गान करें।

जटाटवीगलज्जलप्रवाहपावितस्थले
गलेऽवलम्ब्य लम्बितां भुजङ्गतुङ्गमालिकाम्।
डमड्डमड्डमड्डमन्निनादवड्डमर्वयं
चकार चण्डताण्डवं तनोतु नः शिवः शिवम्॥1॥ जटाकटाहसम्भ्रमभ्रमन्निलिम्पनिर्झरी-
विलोलवीचिवल्लरीविराजमानमूर्धनि।
धगद्धगद्धगज्ज्वलल्ललाटपट्टपावके
किशोरचन्द्रशेखरे रतिः प्रतिक्षणं मम॥2॥ धराधरेन्द्रनन्दिनीविलासबन्धुबन्धुर-
स्फुरद्दिगन्तसन्ततिप्रमोदमानमानसे।
कृपाकटाक्षधोरणीनिरुद्धदुर्धरापदि
क्वचिद्दिगम्बरे मनो विनोदमेतु वस्तुनि॥3॥ जटाभुजङ्गपिङ्गलस्फुरत्फणामणिप्रभा-
कदम्बकुङ्कुमद्रवप्रलिप्तदिग्वधूमुखे।
मदान्धसिन्धुरस्फुरत्त्वगुत्तरीयमेदुरे
मनो विनोदमद्भुतं बिभर्तु भूतभर्तरि॥4॥ सहस्रलोचनप्रभृत्यशेषलेखशेखर-
प्रसूनधूलिधोरणी विधूसराङ्घ्रिपीठभूः।
भुजङ्गराजमालया निबद्धजाटजूटकः
श्रियै चिराय जायतां चकोरबन्धुशेखरः॥5॥ ललाटचत्वरज्वलद्धनञ्जयस्फुलिङ्गभा-
निपीतपञ्चसायकं नमन्निलिम्पनायकम्।
सुधामयूखलेखया विराजमानशेखरं
महाकपालिसम्पदेशिरोजटालमस्तु नः॥6॥ करालभालपट्टिकाधगद्धगद्धगज्ज्वल-
द्धनञ्जयाहुतीकृतप्रचण्डपञ्चसायके।
धराधरेन्द्रनन्दिनीकुचाग्रचित्रपत्रक-
प्रकल्पनैकशिल्पिनि त्रिलोचने रतिर्मम॥7॥ नवीनमेघमण्डली निरुद्धदुर्धरस्फुरत्-
कुहूनिशीथिनीतमः प्रबन्धबद्धकन्धरः।
निलिम्पनिर्झरीधरस्तनोतु कृत्तिसिन्धुरः
कलानिधानबन्धुरः श्रियं जगद्धुरन्धरः॥8॥ प्रफुल्लनीलपङ्कजप्रपञ्चकालिमप्रभा-
वलम्बिकण्ठकन्दलीरुचिप्रबद्धकन्धरम्।
स्मरच्छिदं पुरच्छिदं भवच्छिदं मखच्छिदं
गजच्छिदान्धकच्छिदं तमन्तकच्छिदं भजे॥9॥ अखर्वसर्वमङ्गलाकलाकदम्बमञ्जरी-
रसप्रवाहमाधुरी विजृम्भणामधुव्रतम्।
स्मरान्तकं पुरान्तकं भवान्तकं मखान्तकं
गजान्तकान्धकान्तकं तमन्तकान्तकं भजे॥10॥ जयत्वदभ्रविभ्रमभ्रमद्भुजङ्गमश्वस-
द्विनिर्गमत्क्रमस्फुरत्करालभालहव्यवाट्।
धिमिद्धिमिद्धिमिध्वनन्मृदङ्गतुङ्गमङ्गल-
ध्वनिक्रमप्रवर्तितप्रचण्डताण्डवः शिवः॥11॥ दृषद्विचित्रतल्पयोर्भुजङ्गमौक्तिकस्रजो-
र्गरिष्ठरत्नलोष्ठयोः सुहृद्विपक्षपक्षयोः।
तृणारविन्दचक्षुषोः प्रजामहीमहेन्द्रयोः
समप्रवृत्तिकः कदा सदाशिवं भजाम्यहम्॥12॥ कदा निलिम्पनिर्झरीनिकुञ्जकोटरे वसन्
विमुक्तदुर्मतिः सदा शिरःस्थमञ्जलिं वहन्।
विलोललोललोचनो ललामभाललग्नकः
शिवेति मन्त्रमुच्चरन् कदा सुखी भवाम्यहम्॥13॥ ॥ फलश्रुति ॥ इदं हि नित्यमेवमुक्तमुत्तमोत्तमं स्तवं
पठन्स्मरन्ब्रुवन्नरो विशुद्धिमेति सन्ततम्।
हरे गुरौ सुभक्तिमाशु याति नान्यथा गतिं
विमोहनं हि देहिनां सुशङ्करस्य चिन्तनम्॥14॥ पूजावसानसमये दशवक्त्रगीतं
यः शम्भुपूजनपरं पठति प्रदोषे।
तस्य स्थिरां रथगजेन्द्रतुरङ्गयुक्तां
लक्ष्मीं सदैव सुमुखीं प्रददाति शम्भुः॥15॥ ॥ इति श्रीरावणकृतं शिवताण्डवस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ॥

Jataa-tavee-galaj-jala-pravaaha-paavita-sthale,
Gale-'valambya lambitaam bhujanga-tunga-maalikaam.
Damad-damad-damad-damann-inaada-vad-damarvayam,
Chakaara chanda-taandavam tanotu nah shivah shivam. (1) Jataa-kataaha-sambhrama-bhraman-nilimpa-nirjharee-
Vilola-veechi-vallaree-viraaja-maana-moordhani.
Dhagad-dhagad-dhagaj-jvalal-lalaata-patta-paavake,
Kishora-chandra-shekhare ratih pratikshanam mama. (2) Dharaa-dharendra-nandinee-vilaasa-bandhu-bandhura-
Sphurad-diganta-santati-pramoda-maana-maanase.
Krpaa-kataaksha-dhoranee-niruddha-durdhara-aapadi,
Kvachid-digambare mano vinodam-etu vastuni. (3) Jataa-bhujanga-pingala-sphurat-phanaa-mani-prabhaa-
Kadamba-kunkuma-drava-pralipta-dig-vadhoo-mukhe.
Madaandha-sindhura-sphurat-tvag-uttareeya-medure,
Mano vinodam-adbhutam bibhartu bhoota-bhartari. (4) Sahasra-lochana-prabhrty-ashesha-lekha-shekhara-
Prasoona-dhooli-dhoranee vidhoosara-anghri-peetha-bhooh.
Bhujanga-raaja-maalayaa nibaddha-jaata-jootakah,
Shriyai chiraaya jaayataam chakora-bandhu-shekharah. (5) Lalaata-chatvara-jvalad-dhananjaya-sphulinga-bhaa-
Nipeeta-pancha-saayakam naman-nilimpa-naayakam.
Sudhaa-mayookha-lekhayaa viraaja-maana-shekharam,
Mahaa-kapaali-sampade-shiro-jataalam-astu nah. (6) Karaala-bhaala-pattikaa-dhagad-dhagad-dhagaj-jvalad-
Dhananjaya-ahutee-krta-prachanda-pancha-saayake.
Dharaa-dharendra-nandinee-kuchaagra-chitra-patraka-
Prakalpanaika-shilpini tri-lochane ratir-mama. (7) Naveena-megha-mandalee niruddha-durdhara-sphurat-
Kuhoo-nishitheenee-tamah prabandha-baddha-kandharah.
Nilimpa-nirjharee-dharas-tanotu krtti-sindhurah,
Kalaa-nidhaana-bandhurah shriyam jagad-dhurandharah. (8) Praphulla-neela-pankaja-prapancha-kaalima-prabhaa-
Valambi-kantha-kandalee-ruchi-prabaddha-kandharam.
Smarach-chidam purach-chidam bhavach-chidam makhach-chidam,
Gajach-chidaandhakach-chidam tam-antakach-chidam bhaje. (9) Akharva-sarva-mangalaa-kalaa-kadamba-manjaree-
Rasa-pravaaha-maadhuree vijrmbhanaa-madhu-vratam.
Smaraantakam puraantakam bhavaantakam makhaantakam,
Gajaantakaandhakaantakam tam-antakaantakam bhaje. (10) Jayatv-adabhra-vibhrama-bhramad-bhujangama-shvasad-
Vinirgamat-krama-sphurat-karaala-bhaala-havya-vaat.
Dhimid-dhimid-dhimidhvanan-mrdanga-tunga-mangala-
Dhvani-krama-pravartita-prachanda-taandavah shivah. (11) Drshad-vichitra-talpayor-bhujangama-mauktika-srajor-
Garishtha-ratna-loshthayoh suhrd-vipaksha-pakshayoh.
Trnaaravinda-chakshushoh prajaa-mahee-mahendrayoh,
Sama-pravrttikah kadaa sadaashivam bhajaamy-aham. (12) Kadaa nilimpa-nirjharee-nikunja-kotare vasan,
Vimukta-durmatih sadaa sirah-stham-anjalim vahan.
Vilola-lola-lochano lalaama-bhaala-lagnakah,
Shiveti mantram-uchcharan kadaa sukhee bhavaamy-aham. (13) || Phalashruti || Idam hi nityam-evam-uktam-uttamottamam stavam,
Pathan-smaran-bruvan-naro vishuddhim-eti santatam.
Hare gurau subhaktim-aashu yaati na-anyathaa gatim,
Vimohanam hi dehinaam su-shankarasya chintanam. (14) Poojaa-avasaana-samaye dashavaktra-geetam,
Yah shambhu-poojana-param pathati pradoshe.
Tasya sthiraam ratha-gajendra-turanga-yuktaam,
Lakshmeem sadaiva sumukheem pradadaati shambhuh. (15) || Iti Shree-Raavana-krtam Shiva-Taandava-Stotram Sampoornam ||

Theme: Ravana's mighty hymn describing Lord Shiva's fierce cosmic dance (Tandava) — a prayer for His grace, energy and protection. Recite it in rhythm. 1: His neck consecrated by the stream of water flowing from the dense forest of His matted locks, a lofty serpent hanging like a garland on His neck, the Damaru drum roaring "damad-damad" — Shiva danced the fierce Tandava. May He bestow auspiciousness upon us. 2: My devotion grows every moment for Shiva who bears the young crescent moon, whose head is glorified by the swaying creeper-like waves of the Ganga surging through His matted hair, and whose forehead blazes with fire "dhagad-dhagad". 3: May my mind find delight in the sky-clad (Digambara) Shiva, whose heart rejoices ever in the playful company of Parvati (daughter of the mountain-king), and whose compassionate side-glance holds back even the most unbearable calamities. 4: May my mind take wondrous delight in Shiva, the sustainer of all beings, who has smeared the faces of the directions (as consorts) with the saffron-kadamba glow from the gem on the serpent's hood in His locks, and is wrapped in the shimmering hide of the maddened elephant. 5: May Shiva — whose footstool is grey with the pollen-dust from the flowers on the bowing heads of Indra (the thousand-eyed) and all the gods, whose matted hair is bound with the king of serpents, who bears the moon (friend of the chakora bird) — grant lasting prosperity. 6: May we attain the wealth of the great Kapali, whose crest is adorned with the nectar-rayed moon, before whom the lord of the gods bows, and who burnt Kamadeva (the five-arrowed) with the sparks of fire blazing on the flat of His forehead. 7: My love is for the three-eyed Shiva, the sole artist who paints the delicate designs upon Parvati's breast, on whose terrible forehead-plate the fire flares "dhagad-dhagad" — into which the mighty five-arrowed Kama was offered as oblation. 8: May Shiva grant prosperity — He whose dark neck is bound as if by the deep midnight darkness of the new moon enclosed by fresh rain-clouds, who bears the Ganga and the elephant-hide, adorned with the moon, the bearer of the burden of the universe. 9: I worship Shiva whose neck shines with the dark lustre of a full-blown blue lotus, the destroyer of Kama (Smara), of the three cities (Pura), of worldly bondage (Bhava), of Daksha's sacrifice (Makha), of the elephant-demon (Gaja) and of Andhaka, and the subduer of Yama (Death). 10: I worship Shiva who, like a bee, revels in the sweet flowing nectar of the blossoming flower-cluster of Goddess Parvati (giver of all auspiciousness) — the ender of Kama, of the three cities, of existence, of the sacrifice, of the elephant-demon, of Andhaka, and the ender of Death itself. 11: Victory to Shiva, who performs the fierce Tandava to the auspicious rhythm "dhimid-dhimid" of the mighty mrdanga drum, on whose terrible forehead the sacrificial fire flares as the coiling serpents hiss and breathe. 12: When shall I worship the ever-auspicious Sadashiva, viewing alike a bed of stones and a soft couch, a serpent and a pearl-garland, a precious gem and a lump of clay, friend and foe, a blade of grass and a lotus-eyed beauty, and the common folk and the mighty emperor? 13: When, dwelling in a hollow amid the thickets by the Ganga, freed of evil-mindedness, ever bearing folded hands upon my head, with restless darting eyes and forehead marked with tilak, chanting the mantra "Shiva" — when shall I become truly happy? Phalashruti (14): Whoever reads, remembers or recites this supreme-most hymn — thus ever declared — attains constant purity, and swiftly gains pure devotion to Shiva the guru; there is no other path. For meditation on the benevolent Shankara truly dispels the delusion of embodied beings. Phalashruti (15): Whoever recites this song of the ten-faced (Ravana), devoted to Shiva's worship, at the close of pooja during the Pradosha hour — upon him Shambhu ever bestows steadfast and gracious Lakshmi (prosperity), complete with chariots, mighty elephants and horses.
